Between classes, sports, clubs, volunteer opportunities, family commitments and plans with friends, it can be incredibly difficult to keep track of everything that needs to get done. 2. A place for everything. Each of your classes should have a separate place for notes, homework, tests/quizzes, and handouts. It is just not possible to be adequately prepared for class when your Biology notes are mixed in with your English and Geometry notes. Whether you have a separate notebook for each class or a binder with dividers separating each class is up to you, but make sure each class has its own designated space. Ideally, you should have a separate folder or pocket for each class where you can corral handouts (see Tip #3!) as well.
