It’s time to start working on college essays! This can be a scary process, but I’m here to help! Many students find writing about themselves to be more of a challenge than they expected. I’ve seen it happen over and over: once they sit down to write, they start feeling like they have nothing of interest to say, that they have no accomplishments, and that no college will ever admit them because they’re talentless and boring. These thoughts are never true! With a little bit of time and thoughtful reflection, you’ll be able to come up with some great essay topics that can be used for Common App essays, UC Personal Insight Questions, and individual schools’ supplemental essay topics.
Today I’m sharing some questions to help get you started. Take some time to reflect on the following questions, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like some personalized, one-on-one assistance turning your ideas into great essays!
